emily’s graduation party

we had such a beautiful day to celebrate emily & two of her dearest friends at our home a couple weekends ago! so grateful for a glorious sunshiny day! and even more grateful to all the precious friends that came to join us!!

i’m not a natural at party planning & playing hostess but i felt so happy that everything fell into place. the girls had asked for sunflowers so off i went to trader joes for a few dozen. along with some eucalyptus as well. i threw in just a few succulents ( i love them. emi does not) along the food table. our friends did the food & it was delicious!! home made chicken salad sliders, potato salad, pasta salad, fruit with dip, white cheddar popcorn and a few bowls of candy for fun.  each of the girls had special cakes made for them as a gift. emi’s UGA cake was quite possibly my favorite detail!

i wanted something fun to display their photos so i chose a birch branch & basically just used clear filament to hang them. you’ll see images at the end of the post with a little more detail.

all the fun ginormous balloons & paper party decor are from shop sweet lulu & the yellow/gold tissue tassel garland can be found at the paper jar

random other sources. cake stand for emi’s UGA cake – the magnolia market. gold lanterns-target circa 2012. giant XO metal letters-flea market finds spray painted gold. the small candle votives-sugarboo & co., olive basket holding the fern – isabella bleu.

each of my girls graduation celebrations have truly been 3 of my favorite days in all of ever!! you can see madison’s here ( she created all the decorations. so proud) and savannah’s here.

Jen Pighini - Love that UGA cake! So cute. Actually the whole party is just gorgeous. Might have to pin this for future reference in oh, about 12 years! Seriously though as they honored the seniors at church yesterday I got all teary eyed thinking that our girls will be up on that stage quicker than we can imagine.

christina - i fancy myself as an amateur event planner and love to host parties that look like something out of a magazine at my house (i, of course, i have to LOOK at the magazine to get it all right) but you, you, my friend … i want YOU to plan MY parties. i have nothing! This is absolutely beautiful. and your girls … always so gorgeous! congrats, again to Emily – i know your and dan’s hearts must be so full this spring!
