hot chocolate anyone?

this little cutie is by no means the swank, who’s -your -daddy set up over at edie’s place. nor is it the clever, creative, completely inspiring nook at melaine’s. but our little silver tray of hot chocolate goodies sure was a hit for caroline. hot cocoa might just be her favorite afterschool treat–she even drinks it when it’s still warm outside 🙂

it sure plans on getting cuter now that we’re closer to christmas time.  i’ll add some vintage style handmade candy canes and we might even whip up some homemade marshmallows

for now, don’t be too impressed. i just poured a canister of swiss miss into a jar, added little mini marshmallows in the silver sugar holder, larger marshmallows are in the crystal pitcher.

but to inspire you, here are a few yummy hot chocolate recipes.

creamy hot cocoa, candy cane cocoa and ina garten’s hot chocolate recipe is delish! ( the premix, gasp, caramel sea salt cocoa pictured below is from kroger)

Kerri - southern hospitality at its finest! I love it! I was thinking of how I really do not have the space to set up a beverage bar, but this is totally perfect~home-y and elegant! I am planning to make a few recipes this weekend like edie’s cheese tortellini soup that I have had my eye on since last winter! have a great weekend! XO

Bethanie Henry - This is too funny, I have been obsessing over the “hot cocoa bar” that I am gathering goodies for for the winter season. My mom even said, “you arent going to be happy until you get this just right, are you?!” Lots of company over the holidays, so I think it will be fun!

November 7, 2012 - 7:20 pm

melaine - Um, aren’t you too sweet! It’s gorgeous by the way! I suppose I should get my hot cocoa station up and going! Right now it is a baking station! I can’t leave things alone! 🙂 Love ya Paige! xoxo
