so i gained a couple days. sorta.

(written on the 9th. posted on the 10th)

lord have mercy. so it’s january the 9th and i do not have my new years groove on yet. ( are we still saying that? groove on?)  i was just sitting here piddling around & realized ( at 3:18pm mind you) , what the heck am i cooking for dinner? well that’s when i glanced at the calender on my computer and noticed it said 1/9/2013. well i thought it was 1/11/2013 because i just wrote a check ( are we still doing that too? checks?) and realized i dated it 1/11/2013. sorry cathy. welcome back to the second wednesday of january. 2012. good grief.

are ya’ll in all your new year’s glory having made new diet resolutions and meal plans for the next 90 days and drinking your 3 gallons of water a day and everything else? because except for dragging my tail to the gym 3 of the past 5 days, ( major accomplishment. #idratherrun) my 2013 new years glory has yet to begin.

oh i had big plans. not like resolutions and goals because i am keeping up with those but like all the other stuff you think you need to be doing, yeah, those things i’m not doing so great at.

have i already lost you?

like reorganizing my recipe folders/files/notebooks/ etc. have got to get those whipped in to shape.

like posting my “faves in 2012″ posts. i have a few.

like answering the questions ya’ll asked on the ‘how to unclutter your home’ post. that’s coming

like creating a FAQ section because i am not keeping up with the questions that are rolling in.

like playing with my new tripod and shooting some lovely, very compliant still life.

i’m going to stop there before i get all in fluster about my “have not yet” list.

because thankfull,y i just sorta gained two extra days, being that it’s the 9th. not the 11th.

now for some random photos to coordinate with my random post

taken before life with a tripodour new fancy fridge. the old girl was over 20 years old and died a slow death. how did i ever live without a water & ice thingie on the door?

my new cutting board from Roswell Provisions. isn’t she so cute?i’m totally planning on sharing some of the cute christmas cards we received. i hope that’s acceptable blog material being that it’s clearly not december anymore.

emi heading out for new years eve. see. i told you this was random!

chicken tortilla soup that i promise to share the recipe. soon. ( secret’s all in the homemade tortilla strips & fresh avocado )remember on IG when i asked if you’d “put away your tree” yet? well this is us, “putting away” our tree. where do i get this stuff? putting away your tree. so weird.putting away the ornaments. now that’s correct grammar.

my favorite moment of watching Passion 2013 live stream was seeing kari jobe knock it out of the park baby by belting out The Revelation song. i’m serious ya’ll-out of the park!! surely that’s what worship in heaven is gonna look like. surely. ( not official video btw)

Lori H - Thanks for sharing the Kari Jobe song, Paige. Oh my. It made my day! Just beautiful. And you aren’t the only one having trouble keeping up with the days. Over the holidays, I was constantly trying to figure out what day it was!

Stacey - Um, I keep thinking about those New Year’s proclamations or resolutions…my main one was to walk but Dang! it’s cold outside. :) It will happen.

Bethanie - She totally hit it out of the park!!! I remember my facebook status being something like, “…and this is a glimpse of worship in heaven!” Gives me the chills. Cant wait to get the dvd’s and watch it all again. Especially the stuff I missed while at work!! Ps. while we’re on random stuff, as McKenna and her group were leaving the Dome, they looked over and Kari Jobe was driving along beside them :)

Betsy - Just have to say – your random posts are some of my favorites! I haven’t started any of my goals either. I was finishing up the veggie dip and cookies last week…and you always have to start on a Monday anyways. Well this Monday came and I started on chocolate!

Look forward to the decluttering post! I am hoping to see how the girls orgnize jewelry and make up!

tiffany day - Paige – I adore you! I loved your video about decluttering your home if for nothing else to hear your voice – and I really hope that doesn’t sound creepy.

In case I haven’t told you enough, I always enjoy your posts, your honesty, your sweetness and the beauty and inspiration you bring. I read all the time and I am sorry that I don’t always comment.

I haven’t even wanted to put down on paper the things I want to accomplish this year out of fear I wont really do them – but I really think I need to – I need to have a few goals.

Happy Happy blessed new year to you!

Suzanne - I so hear you about
those nagging little

Erin - Oh my word. My kids made THE blog. Very sweet of you. Your card was my favorite. We love you.And thank you for always “keeping it real”( my fav phrase.)!

Peggy - Ok… so we are being real here, right? I just found a stack of graduation thank you’s that were never mailed. Uh oops… I have no idea when the boy brought them out but I have a feeling it was just before Christmas since I found them in the bowl with the Christmas cards.

I love this song! :) Have a wonderful day! (I just realized it is almost time to run out and pick up the youngest from swim practice… unless the eldest does it for us tonight! He is usually good about that kind of thing!)

LLH Designs - This was a fun post to read! My favorite thing you said was “compliant still life.” Gotta love that after all those little kiddo photos you’ve taken recently! Wink! Love the photos in front of that gorgeous southern house, too {next post}. I thought I was ready for a new year, but I’m so not in the swing of things. Haven’t put Christmas away yet if that tells you anything. At least my nativity won’t sit out until mid-Feb like it has in the past…because I never got around to putting it out this year. One of those years! :) Happy Friday and MUCH GRACE!
