a little more love left for november

before november becomes but a distant memory and for posterity if  nothing else, i’d love to share a few memories.( i think i still need to for september & october as well. anyone with me on this?)

dan turned the big 55. we celebrated the evening with sir elton john. such an amazing entertainer & perhaps one of the best performers who sounds live exactly like he did, on the radio, so many years ago.

caroline successfully whipped up a knot blanket as quickly as she all of sudden began to look 15. what the heck.

madi cleaned her room. at that my friends is worthy of documenting. she also whipped up this canavas you see as well. glittered kissy lips & sassy shades for her makeup desk.

i got my first gel mani & apparently, almost 3 weeks later, it’s still holding strong.

& speaking up whipping things up. check out these cute whipping cream thingies from trader joes.

hutton & jill rolled in for hutt’s heart check up and we fine-dined them at our fave mexican joint.

emi competed in the miss parkview pageant & looked amazing! her community service & heart for those around her are both qualities i value and am so proud of!!…can we have a collective moment of silence for her drop dead gown? ( loaned to her by miss alabama, 2nd runner up). my shots don’t do this baby justice.

thanksgiving was so much fun this year. we spent the day with my brother corey & sister in law cindy and several of her neices & nephews. we sang songs like 5 fat turkeys are we and ate all the tradition dishes and then i think we sang 5 fat turkeys are we. again.

all the girls ( sans madi & i-she worked black friday & saturday at anthropologie) headed out at 10 pm thursday evening and shopped all night long. meanwhile, i slept like a baby.

often times i’m running around & need a smaller camera bag that will keep her safe but still look stylish. so, this little ona baby to the rescue.

i’m finishing things up in preparation to welcome ya’ll in on thursday. let me tell you, i simplified even more this year. i chose a few of my favorite things-grouped them together, had savannah paint a gorgeous canvas & do a little chalkboard art, and dressed up our table & our tree. think silver & gold, antlers, mercury glass, african nativity scene…all is calm. all is bright. see you thursday!
