current crush round 14

gosh. talk about infrequent blogging.

i’m glad you guys are still here. i clearly have no clue what the general consensus is in blog land. like did everyone hit the road & become bff’s with instagram? i think so. yet i’m still seeing hits on my stat counter…so i think ya’ll are still out there.  and while i feel like the DIY blogs, fashion & foodie bloggers are where it’s at, i’m not ready to hang up my hat. so thank you for your loyalty to my inconsistent posting. wink.

i have some fun new things i’m crushing on & need to share the love with you so let’s roll~

~1.this artist….wow….i get lost in her wondrous paintings of the sea.

brynn weiermiller  ~”My recent work is an exploration of ocean landscapes. My focus on the subject matter of water is derived from biblical imagery and the personal impact it has had on me. One such image, which has been ingrained in my mind, is that of Peter, who blindly, bravely, steps out onto the water, at the mere beckoning of Jesus. I hope to follow in Peter’s steps (pun intended), as I dive into my art headfirst. While the imagery of water holds significant, specific meaning to me, I hope that it speaks to you in whatever way you need to hear. ”

~2. ya’ll have seen me share my love for all things FASHIONABLE…well they have a new feature line called customizable & it’s awesome!! essentially you get to create a  necklace or ring stack design made with ethically sourced materials.  then your hand-made in piece ships from Nashville, Tennessee. i played around with at least a dozen options last night while the debate was on.  i’m thinking i’ll create the two layer rosary & then i’ll share with you guys in the next couple weeks once it gets here.

fashionable is offering free shipping this week to celebrate their 5th birthday. use code ‘ fashionable5th ‘

~3. i’m all about comfort and coziness. my barefoot dreams cardi is by far the softest thing i’ve ever owned. ever. in all the world. i actually snuggled with it when i sacked out for a nap recently. i scored the striped on sale at nordstroms back in the summer & think now all they have are plus sizes in this color, but girls…run grab one of these babies. the ombre options are super fun too!

~4. maybe the only current perk of growing older is wearing uber cool glasses. hello warby parker. think buy a pair, give a pair all starting at $95. and they’ll ship you a box to try on. free. heck i’d wear these sans prescription! madison has a couple pair & purchased the sunglasses as well. we’re big fans. while i usually only wear these when i’m home working on my computer, some days i wear them out & about and i always get stopped. even guys love these babies. ( in case you’re wondering, mine are the ainsworth in walnut tortoise)

~5.  christ’s love for me blows my mind. hear me say this. he loves me NOT because of anything i have done or ever will do. and on the flip side he does NOT withhold love from me because of anything i have done or will do. no crappy decisions in my teen years. no addiction. no sin i keep hidden because if you knew it, you would certainly not wanna be my friend, much less love me. no matter what a “friend” may falsely accuse me of. no matter what ugly words have been spoken. no matter what filthy pit. no matter the baggage HE CALLS YOU HOME friend. there’s not one single ugly sin that can’t be washed away by the power of his blood.

All who’ve strayed and walked away, unspeakable things you’ve done
Fix your eyes on the mountain, let the past be dead and gone
Come all saints and sinners, you can’t outrun God
Whatever you’ve done can’t overcome the power of the blood

If you’re lost and wandering
Come stumbling in like a prodigal child
See the walls start crumbling
Let the gates of glory open wide

david crowder‘s powerful lyrics have been many the anthem of my heart & lift your head weary sinner is right up there in top mental playlist. come about minute 2:01 i could effectively blow my speakers. every time. soak it up my friend-see the walls start crumbling & let the gates of glory open wide.

peggy - hey sweetie, i’m still hanging around. had to chuckle because it has been like a year or maybe 18 months since i’ve posted to my blog. ugh. just too much stuff swirling around my brain to write…. or rather too much that is controversial plus its not my story to tell and the boys asked me not to write stuff about them any longer. oh well i can’t and won’t complain. love the cardigan! never seen them! but of so pretty. fashionable is 5 years? wow! i have one of their original scarves. love it to pieces. thank you for sharing the song…. Heidi Ferguson - HA HA, YES, WE ARE STILL HERE! I agree IG is where it’s at for the scroll through but when you want in depth content – blogs are where I go! I love your blog, your heart, your photography, your girls, your Dan, your Duke! I swear if I ran into you at say, Superika – I’d hug you like old friends and we’d talk for hours. Keep writing. If anything, it’s cathartic. When I write on FB (my blog since I don’t blog anymore) I always feel a sense of relief. I haven’t done it in a while. Need to though!
