The NotWedding

have ya’ll heard of The NotWedding?

“Complete with a sit-down dinner, an emotional ceremony and a dance-party reception, The NotWedding has become a killer alternative to a bridal show. The hand-selected vendors perform their services as they would at a real wedding, and the “wedding guests” get to hear the music, taste the cakes, and touch the linens… while enjoying a night of great food, dancing and surprises, leaving brides-to-be saying “I want my wedding to be just like that!”.

in 2008, aspiring wedding photographer Callie Murray was looking for a way to effectively build her new business. With the goals of promoting small businesses, inspiring brides and encouraging solid marriages, she rallied her wedding industry friends together to create the ultimate wedding experience: a perfectly planned “wedding” where brides-to-be could actually see vendors in action.”

so, the Not Wedding is the brain child of my uber talented and exceptionally creative young friend callie murray.

if you are a young bride or bride to be of any age honestly, i highly recommend attending one their events. for 2013, they’ll be in atlanta, san diego & L.A. you must swing by & check out their facebook page too.

callie and i visited a little over christmas break while she was here in atlanta. she asked if i’d share a little marriage advice ~

i was 25. he was 30. we were married in june.
