i married him in a garden 15 years ago today. he vowed to love “us”…all four of us, savannah, madison, emily & me…forever. he truly has been a visible, tangible, example of jesus in our family. he loves selflessly. he is never in a bad mood. he’s never raised his voice at me. in fact, if he’s ever been mad with me i never knew about. he lays down his life & his desires so many times…many times without the girls even knowing it, so they may be blessed. he adopted the three older girls & we had little caroline. i am thankful every single day for dan.
today is a busy day with a load of busy days to follow ( meaning i’ll probably be a tad mia) but i wanted to share this quickie little flipogram of some favorite heavenly days.
often times at the ending of an email i’ll close with a line from an old led zeppelin song, hence the title to today’s post. so to my dan, i love you more today than i did on that beautiful spring day in the garden 15 years ago….and i will love you even more 15 years from today.

I think one of the reasons i’m so drawn to you and your blog is because I lost my dad when I was only 7….my mom remarried when I was 10 and I hardly talked to her husband and he didn’t talk to me…so sad…. … I will admit I was a brat and angry …so I was not so pleasant but….they started a life and really didn’t have room for me…..I was left alone a lot…….I sat in front of the tv and watched The Brady Bunch wishing I was in that family…… all that to say how wonderful for your girls!!!! My family wasn’t christian or actually didn’t believe anything…I still prayed every night for a family someday …..a loving husband and a good daddy for my kids……..I accepted the Lord when I was 19….got married at 21 and am still married almost 33 years later….with 3 kids!!! Anyways…I just love your “LOVE” story for your family……..Congrats to you and Dan!!!! Hope you go out for a special date!!! Have fun!!!!
