we visited savannah georiga back in the spring.
we usually stay in town for spring break, but decided to take a couple days
and go on an adventure.
savannah was at the beach so the 5 of us headed out
& had a great time.
i shared about the paris market, savannah bee company & some of my favorite shops
but realized i never shared these photos too.
i am fascinated with the history behind this gorgeous town.
the architecture is spectacular
the fern covered porches
fountains and parks
are legendary.
we didn’t stay & eat there,but we did visit the paula deen restaurant.
we toured the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist
which was built in 1873.
we only had a couple minutes before they were closing,
but
it took my breath away
nonetheless.
must have been our luck
but we were able to visit one of the famous cemetaries
moments before it also closed.
we drove over to Tybee Island to just check it out.
none of us had swimsuits so we just went for a short walk on the shore.
we brought a souvenier home for brinkley,
a harry barker toy or two.
i think by day two of our little history tour of the town,
maybe one or two of our girls
( not mentioning any names)
were ready to head back home.
personally, i’d love another visit
with a little longer to take some of the ghost tours
& other historical tours of the city!
