a week of goodbyes and a couple congratulations too

hello friends!

i sat down tonight to do a little clean up on my computer. i’m trying to catch up on all the end-of-school craziness that requires checking things off so we can settle into the summer groove.

this past week i think caroline was a little bored trying to find things to do for a couple of rainy days while i was completely absorbed in finalizing all the details for the summer style ecourse i’ve been working on. i’m honestly so excited for it to release and hope you find something new or you feel encouraged…you’re atleast going to laugh at my poor video making skills! it will release in two weeks ( june 24th) and you’ll be able to watch it/read it at your leisure for up to 6 months 🙂 $10

we said goodbye to savannah as she headed out for her 9week summer program. i’ll share more about that later.

we said goodbye to emi as she headed to memphis to work with some inner city communities. i’ll share more about that too.

we said congratulations to madison as she was just hired by Anthropologie!!! she’ll be at the West Side Provisions shop (incidentally my favorite one here in atlanta…free standing…and in a super hip new shopping area).

so on the last post i wrote about my latest reads. i shared i was reading the latest Kristin Hannah release, Fly Away. yeah, well i was not impressed. Firefly Lane ( the first of the two) was one of my top faves, but Fly Away was a disappointment. spoiler alert: too much talk about family dysfunction, depression, cutting, and talking to the dead. whatever. anyone want to book swap after that endorsement?

next up for this week is Bread & Wine and then Cold Tangerines.

the winner for a signed copy of sophie’s book is anna “i’m a mid-Atlantic girl, and would love to read this “taste of the south” and everything else it offers!! Am currently reading Anything, by Jennie Allen and The Burgess Boys by Elizabeth Strout”.

congratulations!! i’ll send your information sophie’s way!

ps–the clutch shown in the top image is the Filipino Clutch from Noonday. currently on backordered but expected in two weeks. you may go ahead & order it to have your name in the first come, first serve list.

Shannon Wilhelm - Paige,
We don’t actually know each other, but I have followed your blog since I saw you speak at the pearl event in Nashville, and was so inspired by you and your testimony. I just want to extend an olive branch: My husband and I live in Memphis and would be happy to offer a meal, place to stay, home to relax in, or whatever your lovely daughter may need while here. God Bless.
