c’mon over

{{{{my friends. i need to sincerely ask for your forgiveness. if you follow this blog in any time of reader, or email, you see that the original title invites you to come on over. “unless of course you’re a convicted felon”.  can i just tell you how sick to my stomach i feel for that joke made in poor taste, as an attempt to be funny. i am asking you to please please forgive and maybe even forget that comment. sadly, the power of the written word or pressing the publish button on my wordpress has it out there for all to see. my poor taste. my comment that i wish i could take back. to whipe away. sadly it’s just there. in a post where i share about helping an adoptive family. where i share about helping men & women in africa who have been handed a much tougher card to play than i, i chose to make a joke. at the expense of someone out there. i don’t want to be that person. please forgive me.

i serve a God who is all about redemption. He wipes our sins as far as the east is from the west. my smart mouth or me taking the Lords name in vain  or my sins of omission are all sin. i am no better than someone who committed felony. i’m not.

and i, very humbly,  ask your forgiveness. }}}}

i’m so excited to open our home next week & kick off the Noonday Collection fall launch!

since i’m clearly one of those bloggers that not only uses my children’s real names on the blog, i’m now also sharing our home address. which lets face it. thanks to search engines, anyone can sorta find your address too. eek. so i’ve just saved you a step. if you’re local i’d for you to stop by. it would be fabulous if you’d message me so i might have an idea of how many to expect. but if not, no worries. just drop in anyways!

oh & you can always order via my website. no party attendance necessary. it’s just more fun. but seriously, order online from the comfort of your fluffy chair while you sit criss cross applesauce. easy peasy.

madison & i will help style you as you fall in love with our new pieces and i will share images & stories about my trip to guatemala. sadly i have finished off all our organic coffee the beautiful Posada de Santiago

recently the ambassadors did a little instagram contest to show our fall favorites. so awkward photo & all, here’s a few of my personal faves…

1. ready or knot necklace -pieces from ethiopia are always on top of my list. made from melted down artillary. these women/artisans are no longer define by HIV as they receive a sustainable income from your purchases.

2. organica rope necklace. made in ecuador from acai seeds. great colors. great layering option. will go with everything.

3. ruth bracelet. named after ruth, one of our artisans in uganda whose life truly has been transformed since she joined the group. a gorgeous mixture of greys & gold.

4. tasseled bullet bracelets. sold in sets of 3 or individually. hello. cute or funky. whatever you need them to be. excellent addition to your arm party. and great price point. one of my sweet friends just purchased these & shared one of each with three of her friends. win. win.

5. sophie square bracelet. available in two color options. made in haiti by a group that offers prenatal care to women. super flippin cool square/leather/tassels bracelet. will match your crazy booties if you join the fantastic fashion trend that is all things fringe.

6. metallic pearls earrings. what more can i say other than these are awesome. will go with everything & look great on everyone. we have a necklace & cuff style bracelet that match. upcycled artillery for the win.

because i love ya’ll & i know ya’ll & i bet you’ll ask..the tshirt is a fundraiser opportunity for one of our ambassadors who is raising money while trying to bring their child kingston home from ethiopia. you can join the efforts here.

the fringe sam edelman booties were, even for me, a fashion risk. wasn’t sure if my girls would approve but i’ve been a life long fan of funky leather & fringe so they seemed right to me. pricetag still in them while i decide. and yes, they harken back to my jon bonjovi loving days. cause i’m a cowboy. on a steel horse i ride.  i’m wanted. dead or alive.

one of these days i’ll get all ( well some) of my guatemala images up on the blog. i laid in bed last night & thought to myself, man. i wish i could live that week again. don’t you love times like that? times where you just think yes. this is what i never knew i always wanted to do.

message me. email me. call me. show up at my house, and i can share with you how YOU TOO can join us in creating change! host a party. it’s quite simple yet it’s effects are priceless!!

i’m also wondering if we can swing by your place, do you think you can have little bit there to do makeup? kidding….not really kidding. I mean really, who DOESN’T need a MAC child prodigy to fix them up? 😉

September 10, 2013 - 1:40 pm

Jen@thecottagenest - Oh sweet Paige. I’m sending hugs your way. I hate that feeling of saying something I shouldn’t have and feeling so bad about it. Good news…you’re human! Bad news…you will probably do it again in your life.

You were already on my mind today because when my alarm went off I was having a dream about you. You and two of the girls came to visit. One of your girls accidentally set the top of my dining room table on fire and you were just beside yourself but I was happy because I had an excuse to buy a new one! 😉

Hope your day is looking up.

September 10, 2013 - 3:31 pm

Mickey - I would love to come to your Noonday open house but that isn’t possible, I bet you have a wonderful turnout…Good Luck. I am talking up Noonday at preschool to my colleagues. We usually attend the national conference for young children every fall and the fair trade booth is our favorite with all of their jewelry. Our conference last November was in Atlanta and this year is in DC. As soon as I receive my Noonday bracelet, I plan to show it off at preschool. It is extra hot up here in Northwest PA today, we usually don’t have 90 degree weather in September and most of us don’t have air and we certainly don’t have it in school. It is suppose to cool down in a couple days, yay for that!!! Have a great evening! Mickey

BTW, my order arrived and my girls are going to love what I got them. I was really pleased with the quality and how they looked. : )

mercy & grace » simple thoughts from Paige Knudsen Photography - […] recently i apologized for a joke made in poor taste. i was wrong and shouldn’t have said it. i thought i was being funny and honestly wouldn’t have thought another thing about it…until i received an email from the person whom i offended. ( see prior post or open hyperlink to follow along). her husband is indeed a convicted felon. he committed a crime when he was 17. he spent the next 18 years in prison.  turns out he came to know the lord while he was incarcerated.
