25:40 love

the scriptures give us a beautiful tender picture of how we can love the lord well. of how we can love him with our heart & with our soul  & with our minds.

& with our actions.

love others.

love those marginalized who perhaps we need to go find. or they might be right in front of us. but that’s it. love those who might be “forgotten” or alone. the orphan. the widow. the hungry. locked in visible chains or often times just as powerful, the chains of bondage in their hearts. free people free people. and  we are called to love people. He came to set us free & he showed us how to love.

how to love well.

honestly it’s pretty simple. just love as you’d love to be loved. just love as you’d want someone to love your kiddos.

these last few weeks i have seen some extravagant love. so much so that next week i’m so pumped to share what i feel the lord has placed on my heart to do in response to how i’ve personally been blessed.

but for now i’d love to introduce you to a beautiful family who is doing just that. the dolan family ( the adorable family at the end of this post) found 25:40 LOVE in an effort to raise funds for adoption, raise awareness for adoption & the orphan. they’ve created simply beautiful products that give back. i’m all over that. 15% of every purchase is donated to a charity.

i styled this little table in our kitchen, right beside the entry so i can see these reminders of friends of mine who #lovewell. each one of them has a heart of generosity that inspires me to be a better person & to #lovewell. i’ll share more detailed photos of those products next week, but they’re from my friend lindsay letters, lisa leonard, & carol and company.

the adorable moroccan frame is  from 25:40. it’s so cute & so well made. 16×16(ish) wood frame that makes me smile. big.

25:40 has just released a farmhouse collection that will blow you away! ya’ll know i love lucy & the narnia series…and the velveteen rabbit….heaven help me!!

This month, your 25:40 love purchase helps Show Hope transform orphans into beloved sons and daughters.

Show Hope is a movement to care for orphans, restoring the hope of a family to orphans in distress around the world.

Founded by Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Mary Beth, this nonprofit organization is helping to make a difference for the millions of orphans and waiting children around the world. Primarily, they make a difference through Adoption Aid financial grants that help place orphans with families. Show Hope also has Special Care Centers in China that help orphans with special needs. Through programs like their Advocates, Student Initiatives, and Sponsorship, they are truly mobilizing a movement of individuals and communities who show hope to children in need.

Tom and Jessica Dolan started 25:40 love as a family project with the goal of fully funding the international adoption of their little girl for whom they anxiously await. The Dolans now endeavor to serve other worthy causes, like Blood:Water Mission and Show Hope, through the sales of their unique products. 15% of every 25:40 love purchase will be donated to the month’s featured cause or charity.

Inspired by Jen Hatmaker (author of Seven) and Richard Stearns (president of World Vision and author of The Hole in Our Gospel), they brought together their passion for creating beautiful things and their conviction to help people in need. As the story of 25:40 love unfolds, they pray that God will use them, and you, to be a light and be His hands and feet. Each product sold will help the ‘least of these’ (Matthew 25:40).

We can’t change the world, but together we can change a life.

amen dolan family!!! i’m honored to stand along side you!!

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what’s coming to you in this kingdom. It’s been ready for you since the world’s foundation. And here’s why:

I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.’

Then those ‘sheep’ are going to say, ‘Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?’

Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.’
