morning friends!
we’ve got a packed up suburban & we’re about to hit the road for our week at the beach. brinkley has his wet little nose in my lap….they know don’t they? luckily this year we have a precious friend of ours coming to stay with him, here! i always feel awful boarding him so this is a treat! thank you sam!!

sam was one of the first sorority sisters i met when we went for the first parents weekend in athens. we all pretty much love her. she’s here in atlanta ( after graduating from UGA-go dawgs) doing an internship for our church. her home is wilmington, north carolina where her surfing family lives only a couple miles from the shore. since savannah is only a couple hours from wilmington this summer, she headed up there last weekend for a quick visit.
thanks again sam. we love you!!
i wanted to attempt to blog in real time before we leave.
months ago, courtney began planning a get together here in atlanta. she’s at market this week bringing her scripture cards to the world! the lord has his hand all over this and continues to open doors and bless the Lil Light o mine business–i’ts been a huge treat to have been a part of courtney’s first dream-up and to watch along the sidelines as she took off!! & was even featured on The View! courtney’s heart is nothing if it’s not all about coming along side & encouraging moms. i’ve honestly never seen anything like it. she’s constantly linking friends together, praying for moms, creating & writing materials that encourage women.
i wanted to share a few quick pics of our time together & thank you again courtney. you truly love well!!

tara mentioned how wild it was & only a God thing that this many random connections could all be brought together for one day of laughter, prayer, mimosas & chicken salad!

time with tara is always a blessing!

i’m telling you what. to have these women together and connected & praying for each other was a priceless blessing. you can meet these ladies here.
lucky for me my sweet friend & entrepreneur extraordinaire ashley had a sleep over at my place. love face time with this beautiful friend!!

alrighty friends, i’m leaving out so much more about these ladies but my family is walking by over & over & giving me the “lets roll” look…i’ll see you soon!
& congratulations laura b. for winning a seat on the bee course!!

courtney - whoah so humbled by you and your words. you are one of the biggest blessings of this whole ride. one day – we will be neighbors. one of my other dreams. love you so much! keep doing what you do – and inspiring many.
Ashley Eiler - What a deposit on my soul!! The Lord is so good to encourage us through one another over dinner at a friend’s house, a luncheon, or even a texted conversation!! I love this week so very much!!! Can’t wait for many more years of life together and watching God work and kids grow!!! Love you friend!!!!
tara - oh I love this.
what a day that was…coming together with a bunch of strangers to drink mimosas and eat chicken salad. ummm. how weird is it that I wanted a refill on the mimosa? I didn’t get one, but I really wanted to. the end.
just like that…a few instant connections. I don’t know why I’m always amazed when God does things like this.
y’all have a blast on your trip. can’t wait to follow along on IG.
Amy - Such a small world. I met Courtney while I was on staff at Buckhead Church. I see several of my friends in these shots!
Erin - I am still so blown away by that day. The details were beautiful, of course! But the women and hearing Courtney speak about each woman and what she means to her was just beautiful. I love opportunities to see the body of Christ come together and I so loved meeting you!!
Lemonade Makin' Mama - Just looks like fantastic time!!!
nantucketdaffodil - Probably one of the prettiest parties I have EVER seen!
One Fabulous Mom - I’m a new reader. Came to you through 3 Peanuts who I ADORE! LOve your blog. I will be back. LOTS!
Amy - I just wanted to email you and say that you have inspired me. I was brought to your site via Jones Design Company. This is the first time I have ever commented on a blog. See… I told you that I was inspired. So, when you read this… know that you have been an inspiration to a working mother of two boys in Virginia who has a secret passion for photography. Your work is beautiful. I love that you give back via Noon Day. Thank you for spreading sunshine.
