i’ve heard it said, there’s no way to be a perfect mother but rather a million tiny ways to be a good mama.
i continue to be captivated by the love i witness between mother & child during my sessions. i wanted to share a few captures…many of these are not necessarily portrait quality but were caught literally in the moment. often times after thinking “the shot” was done i’ll find my subjects catching a quick kiss or exchange a giggle…these moments frozen in time are priceless to me as i hope they are to the families i’m honored to photograph.
i hope you enjoy a few captures from some past sessions in honor of mothers! this post was actually originally posted last year but i love these images & wanted to share again. this past weekend we celebrated emily with her graduation party and she had her senior prom the night prior….so it’s been a loaded few days!! i’ll hope to be back & sharing images from both later this week. for now enjoy some love~~
( the final images are of me & my mom, dan & his mom, me & my three oldest daughters when i married dan)
& to savannah, madison, emily & caroline~
i first saw this verse on a sugaboo frame and think this is so simple & yet so poignant as well~
“You are the poem I dreamed of writing.
The masterpiece I longed to paint.
You are the shining star I reached for in my ever hopeful quest for life fulfilled.
You are my child. Now with all thing I am blessed.”
