ford ~ newborn lifestyle session

possibly my most challenging, yet most rewarding as well, sessions that i shoot are lifestyle newborn.

challenging in that i load up my suburban with props & blankets, a space heater, mohair wraps, and perhaps a tufted chair or vintage dough bowl.

challenging in that i essentially walk into a new technical situation as far as lighting & other techy things photographers need to master.

challenging in that newborn sessions are quite possibly the most unscripted & unscheduled of all sessions.

oh but….

so rewarding in that all the props & blankets are just extras for this beautiful little fresh new gift from heaven.

so rewarding in that photographing inside the intimacy & familiarity of the family’s home is so natural & organic.

so rewarding in that newborns are simply delicious and their sweet features change daily.
