game day in athens

saturday was such a fun day for us!
dan & i headed down the atlanta highway to athens.
it was savannah’s AXO parent weekend, game day for the bulldogs
& homecoming at UGA.
it was the absolute quintessential college football game day in the south.
as we walked up to her sorority house,
the breeze was blowing
the sun was shining through golden trees
& leaves were falling.
the first couple we passed is pictured above.
are they just the cutest thing?
alumni cheerleaders!
they ended up cheering with a few others throughout the entire game,
down on the field with UGA cheerleaders.Β
we met savannah & got the official sorority house tour
& met many of her friends and their parents.
the game was big fun
the dawgs won
we had a wonderful dinner
& then spent some time in a great coffee house.
Β being there on game day was a first for me
i LOVED it!
it wore me out, but i loved it!
surrounded by a sea of red!
& i loved seeing savannah in her world!

had the honor of meeting sweet nicole.
Β it’s a huge compliment that she is actually a reader.
this was her adorable response after being told she’d make the blog-what a riot!
