it was fall of 2011 when i first heard of jen’s story.

a young mom. a beautiful mom. a mom with two young boys. a gifted photographer. clearly a friend to many. diagnosed with ovarian cancer. one of my biggest fears.  i saw the amazing video shown above and was blown away. not only by the breathtaking beauty of the video but the raw emotion jen displayed.

over the past year i continued to follow jen’s powerful and courageous battle with cancer. she opened up and allowed everyone a peek in to her world. i’ve never seen anything like her.  on days that she didn’t post on instagram i prayed that she was ok and just sorta busy.  she was determined to not allow that horrific disease to rob her of the simpleness of a regular day.  to rob her of her enthusiasm. to rob her peace. she was not going to be defeated by cancer.  i was inspired over and over again as she chose joy.

last month jen passed away. while i never met jen, i know i will one day. she must have touched the hearts of those around her in ways that can’t even be expressed fully in words….i never met her and she left an impact on me that i find difficult to express today…

may we all live our lives with this kind of spirit. with this kind of love and with kind of joy…

Diane - Wow, beautifully done Paige! I also followed Jen’s blog and prayed for her every day. The tears just flow watching these videos again. Being a single mom of two boys, I was touched and somehow felt connected to her in a small way. We will see her again and hopefully until then we can all live life as Jen did. Thank you for sharing my friend.

Deb - I praise God every day that my ovarian cancer was found in a tiny starting, microscopic, grain of sand-size tumor…..Jen is inspiration to the world. I thank her for her courage, spirit and relationship with the Lord.
