life lately plus CT scans & some prayer

5paigeknudsen

good morning friends~

i have to first tell you a BIG praise~~~~ dan had a CT scan last week that showed NO other sign of cancer outside of the original mass!! he called me while i was finishing a class at the gym and i completely broke down.  big huge sobbing tears & into the arms of my sweet friends. the first time i’ve cried since this entire situation began. my goodness…that’s a HUGE praise!!

we head out this afternoon to meet with his surgeon and get the next plan. hopefully we’re going to get the mass out pronto. i’ll keep ya’ll posted on that. thank you so much for rallying around & praying for him…and for his often times fearful wife. i truly feel the lord carrying us.

khi want to share the above text with you. my precious friend & i share a little difference in perhaps how we view theology & such ( whatever that means). but i have to tell you, her words mean so much to me. compassion means to suffer with. to join in. it doesn’t mean you have to know the “right thing to say”. sometimes not saying anything at all is more painful. to have someone join in, come along side, and just be with us IN the thing, is the most profound heartfelt way to love.

a few images of life lately~

Have a very blessed day.

Destiny - I am so relieved for him and for you. My brother-in- law was diagnosed with the very same thing recently and was declared cancer free after surgery with no chemotherapy needed just before you announced Dan was diagnosed. Even before you shared details, I started to pray the very same outcome for Dan every day. I couldn’t share this last week because I was afraid it would appear to underestimate your situation. Today, my very specific prayers feel like a tremendous victory

September 9, 2014 - 1:35 pm

Destiny - Oops! I wasn’t done. (Smart phone?)

I prayed the very same prayers prayed for a precious brother for your sweet husband, believing all along for a miracle.

Even though we’ve never met, my prayers of praise being raised on Dad’s behalf today feel personal, as if I had just a little something to do with a modern day miracle, if that makes sense?

As your family breathes a little easier, know that I am standing in the gap for Dan and that I promise to until he is declared cancer free. God still moves, in the heart of His people He still moves. We know it. We believe it and we claim it for all to know and see. To God be the glory!

Sharon Burcham - Crying happy tears with you about Dan’s good report. My husand, also Dan, is going through chemo and radiation for throat cancer. They removed the source and like you’re Dan there is no other cancer. Praise God and Hallelujah. We are praying for your family. When we don’t know what else to do we STAND.

Suzanne - Paige, the wave of
relief you must of
felt when Dan called
you with the CT results
must have been a
veritable tsunami!
So happy for him and
for all who love him.
Know you’ll be even
happier when the
surgery is in your
rear view mirror!

Continued hugs and
prayers as you navigate
these next weeks…..

Love you, Lady.

ps – Your Madison reminds me SO MUCH of one of my BFFs from college. It’s uncanny! Pretties.
