earlier this fall i received an email from my friend jennifer, who i had met earlier in the year at The Pearl Event. she asked if i had a date open to photograph her daughter kennedy before christmas. since they would be driving down from tennessee to atlanta for the session i told her
no way jose that i was so worried …that was so much pressure. a four hour drive ….what if the weather was yucky? what if the little girl didn’t think i was funny? what if jennifer didn’t absolutely love the photos?…i seriously was so nervous but agreed.
jennifer and i talked about a few ideas, one of which was having kennedy dress up in her mama’s wedding gown. i thought through a few places that i wanted to use for the session. i asked jennifer if kennedy happened to have a red coat….score…i knew just the image i wished to capture… the leaves were at their peak that weekend & there wasn’t a cloud in the sky.
jennifer is one of those friends that i had an instant connection with . she’s runway model gorgeous. seriously gorgeous. and she’s hilarious! and kennedy…oh my word, talk about personality. she was wide open the entire morning…and smiled and laughed the entire time. so much for worrying if i would be funny! the connection between mother & daughter was just beautiful. jennifer is obviously smitten with her baby girl…and baby girl clearly thinks her mama hung the moon….
thank you jennifer for believing in me & allowing me the privilege of capturing these moments!!
(wordpress gave me a time this morning so i apologize as they’re out of sequence and i need to hit the road)
