current crush~ balsam hill

fear not. our halls are not yet decked with boughs of holly. nary a stocking is hung by the chimney with care. honestly, my thanksgiving menu is but a foggy plan. however, if you are in the market for a tree or garland or any number of wonderful items for your own soon to be merry & bright home, balsam hill is a superb option for you to visit…today!

after twenty plus years of having a fresh tree, i made the executive decision to mix things up a bit. i hope to put a fresh tree out on our back porch, but this baby will be the star of the show inside…without requiring me to crawl under it up to twice a day to water it–will stay “fresh” all the way through december–and honestly, that fresh tree smell? well i only get a whiff once in a while. so it’s all good!

couple of things i have to tell you right off the bat. in my experience, the customer service with balsam hill is outstanding! the quality is exceptional. the website offers an uber cool option while you labor over your decision. let’s talk trees to make this simple.  so, you’ll see under each thumbnail of trees the “compare” option. go forth & grab two more options at a time and click each “compare”. here is a comparison page of three random ones for you. gosh i loved this feature. so easy to see all the details right there side by side.

and the big kicker is, balsam hill is offering a pre-thanksgiving sale and your purchase will ship free. that’s a fantastic deal!

i chose the silverado slim. the size works perfectly in our space. and….it arrived in like thirty six hours. i kid you not. the packaging is very nice. your tree will arrive with gloves for you & whomever helps you set it up, tagged/numbered pieces for correct order placement,  & a snazzy storage bag for you as well. thank you balsam hill for making this purchase quite pleasurable!

friends, just a heads up…we’ll be participating in jen rizzo’s  holiday house walk again this year. our home will be on day one, december 1st! if you’d like to peek at how i {simply} decorated our home last year, click right here.

chrissi - love balsam hill. we are adding a faux tree in the mix this year just to see if we love it. we picked a slim thinking that if we didn’t love it we could put it in the entry or something. no worries. loved it. so pretty.
last year i found scentsicles online. amazing tree smell little sticks that you can hang from your tree or place around the house. i added them to the powder room, bedrooms, i hid them all over and the smell of christmas tree lasted through january.
i know they will make that new tree even more real for us♥

Geri Guidry - I also have an artificial tree. I read about scentsicles last year and just picked some up at Lowe’s. The scent is fresh cut fir and they smell fabulous! Can’t wait to try them this year.

Sam - I just ordered a tree from Balsam Hill this week. Like you I’ve always had a real tree but have decided to try the noble fir. I’m excited to receive it. Looking forward to your Christmas house tour – yours was my favourite last year x

Lemonade Makin Mama - Love it… we made that decision last year too. I didn’t have any major regrets and it worked nice with hectic life. Can’t wait to see what you come up with December 1st!!
