i had high hopes of pulling off a best-of-2013 post but since we’re rolling into the second week of february the odds are slim. i wanted however to show you some fairly recent pictures of sweet imogen and her family, with the above image as perhaps my favorite! as so many photo sessions have a back story, this one’s back story is called ” it almost didn’t’ happen because spontaneity , atlanta traffic & the setting sun don’t play nicely together”.
i had hoped to photograph the passmans and give them some sweet updated photos. our first photo shoot, also “last minute” was followed by immy heading the hospital for fever and losing all her sweet hair within less than 24 hours. so we wanted some updated short hair, bald hair, inbetween growing out hair photos. with both of our schedules somewhat crazy in december we left things on a “i’ll call ya” basis. one afternoon the sun and the sky were exceptionally beautiful. i called tammy around 3:30 & said “lets shoot some pictures”. tammy is all about some last minute plans so she was in. madi left immediately and headed out to old navy to find some sweet clothing options for the littles. tammy called aj and told him to head home. now mind you. atlanta traffic doesn’t play. and the sun sets around 5. follow? i headedout to the location and waited…and watched the sun set…and texted madi asking where was everyone….and waited…and watched the sun setting….and texted madi & said, ” hey, can you nicely tell them to bust a move”. by the time everyone arrived the sun was almost completely behind the trees but the sky had turned a gorgeous dreamy blue. so here’s what we captured. all within a few minutes.
meanwhile back at the ranch, immy is doing great!! she’s busy with gymnastics, ballet, “pwaying in the snow”, singing along with Frozen, and being a flower girl in her aunt’s wedding. her labs last week showed decreasing tumor activity, basically the tumor is dying without chemo!! atta girl immy!!
i reference katy perry in my last post. so once again, between prayer, spending time in the word with the lord and singing ROAR loudly clearly have a positive effect!! never underestimate the power of good music.
